to provide their experience and expertise in golf course design and architecture.

Members were given the opportunity to provide their ideas and thoughts for the

future of the Claremont Golf Course and I believe that Greg, Neil and Paul left the Forum with some invaluable material and can now progress their work and provide us with “the best golf course possible”  for the Claremont site.  If any Member who was unable to attend the evening would like to provide their thoughts on the future of their golf course I would encourage you to do so.

Just send what you would like us to consider to John Edwards and we will make sure that Neil and Paul are given a copy.

As we discussed on the evening, planning the future design of the golf course is only one aspect of achieving our goals.  Representatives from your Board of Management have

President’s Report

In my report last October I advised members that I had set myself three goals that I would attempt to achieve for the Club in the time I had remaining as President.

They were:

SURVIVAL

SUSTAINABILITY

GROWTH

I believe that the meeting which was held on the 29th April, 2010 was the first tangible evidence for Members that we were moving towards achieving those goals.  We held our first Members Forum to discuss what you wanted from you golf course.  What you would like to see retained.  What  you would like to see changed.  What it was that you wanted to increase your enjoyment from playing golf at Claremont.

We had over eighty Members attend the evening which was facilitated by Greg Ramsey from Experience Consulting.  We were fortunate to also have Neil Crafter and Paul Mogford from “Crafter + Mogford – Course Strategies” in attendance

recently held the latest in a series of meetings with a potential development partner and we are extremely confident that those discussions will prove to be positive.  I can appreciate that members are anxious to find out exactly what is happening, but I would ask that you be a little patient.  Our discussions and negotiations are commercially sensitive and confidential at this time.

Every indication points to us being successful in our discussions and it is hoped that the first milestone we have set ourselves will be achieved by the 30th June, 2010.  Members will be provided with more detail at this time.
